Paul Militello
Paul Militello has been practicing law in Citrus County for over 17
years.
During that time, Mr. Militello has handled thousands of
misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. His experience includes
jury trials, motions to exclude and suppress evidence, search and
seizure issues, and criminal appeals. He currently handles all
types of criminal matters.
Mr. Militello served as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting
criminal cases in Citrus, Hernando, Sumter, Marion and Lake
Counties from 1993 until 1997. During his years as a prosecutor,
he prosecuted thousands of cases ranging from DUI's to
Homicides. He handled almost half of all felony cases prosecuted
in Citrus County from 1993 until 1996. In 1996, he was assigned
as a Felony Drug Prosecutor in Marion County handling serious
drug offenses until he left the prosecutors office in April 1997.
In April 1997, he began private practice in Citrus County,
representing those accused of criminal violations.
He attended the University of Florida, where he received his
Bachelors Degree in Criminology and Law in 1989. He was a
member of the Criminology and Law Honor Society.
Mr. Militello received his Law Degree from University of Florida in
1992. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in April 1993. As a new
lawyer, he was honored to be asked to speak before the Fifth
District Court of Appeals on May 7, 1993, on behalf of newly
admitted lawyers
He is a member of the Florida Bar, Florida Association of
Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Past President of the Citrus
County Bar.
